Finally making it "cyberspace official" and Week 12

As you can tell by my spamming your feed with posts I have been hoarding, we have taken to the internet with our exciting news! We had 2 perfect 12 week check ups and decided to go ahead and share with anyone who didn't know yet. Yes, I know I skipped a few weeks, or 5 but weeks 7-12 were pretty redundant.

The only thing interested that happened was week 9. I saw the high risk doctor(who we just love!) and he started me on 2 a day lovenox injections thanks to my lovely blood condition. The first couple injections were a little shaky. After 30 minutes of psyching myself out on the first attempt, Stephen went to get Christa and she was a pro.(She is going to make an awesome nurse!) I watched her on that first one then I have done them all myself since then and now it's like nothing. I *HATE* needles so I was afraid I would never get the hang of it, but it's really no big deal. Maybe I'll go to nursing school after this is over? (Probably not though.) We also went on the family Disney trip that week which was such a fun time even thought I couldn't ride all the best rides!

How far along? 12 weeks.. only 27 to go! (Yes I can count and that would only be 39, but thanks to the lovely blood thinners I will be induced at 39 weeks on the dot so we don't risk any complications from taking a shot and then going into labor.)

Maternity clothes? My belly actually started to "pop" out last week. I don't quite need maternity clothes yet, I'm still wearing loose fitting regular clothes but it won't be long before I need to do some shopping or borrowing ;)

Sleep: Good, I pretty much sleep like a rock(minus the frequent bathroom trips.)

Best moment this week: Our 12 week ultrasound. It was the first(we've had 3 now) where we could actually see baby looking like a baby. We both really enjoyed that. It was amazing how much the baby was moving around and waving and doing the tomahawk chop for us! :) I can't wait til I can feel all those little movements!

Miss Anything? Some of my favorite foods

Movement: We got to see it but I can't feel it for a while still.

Food cravings: Still mostly aversions but I did reallllyyyy want soup for dinner last night, which if you know me, you know is weird because I generally don't like soup and never ask for it.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Everything. I thought it had gotten a little better, but today has been a rough day. I'll be glad when this phase ends.

Gender: Still can't tell. But we're dying to find out! I really feel like it's a boy and our families are split with rooting for pink vs. blue. My next ultrasound isn't until 20 weeks and we will be able to tell for sure by then but I don't know if I can wait that long! Aunt Brittany(Stephen's sister) has a friend who is in ultrasound school who said I could come see her around 16 weeks for a peek. Knowing my impatience, we will probably take her up on that since a month is already killing me!

Labor Signs: Goodness no! Not for a very long while!

Belly Button in or out? In.. hopefully for a while!

Wedding rings on or off? On and actually loose. (I'm weird I've lost about 10 pounds so far being pregnant. I'm going to attribute that to the nausea and the fact that I don't feel like eating.)

Mood: Tired usually but soooo happy.

Looking forward to: Monster Trucks tonight with Mandy and Trae! :)

  1. Disney while pregnant isn't the same. I have been twice while pregnant and was sad that I missed out on great stuff.

Ultrasounds are so much fun! I can't wait to see the baby belly!
