Just a jump start to one of my favorite weekly link-ups!

Yup that's right! Believe it or not it's that time again.. here we are at Thursday(well, almost)! Which means almost the weekend! So here are this Thursday's words to get us through this last pre-weekend day:

Delightful
Happy
Superb
Gorgeous
Loved

1) I made homemade stuffed pasta shells tonight and baked a cake. My mom came over to eat with us! My dad was supposed to come too, buuuuut he gets lazy at night. Never the less, we had a very Delightful time! We ate then watched two movies. It was the first time Mom saw Date Night and The Hangover. Laughed so hard my sides hurt! :)

2) I finished my LAST PR project today and that makes me VERY Happy!!! :) I have one more little interview tomorrow then it's smooth sailing to graduation. I still have other classes but they're not hard, so i'm pretty ecstatic!

3) Stephen has UTA weekend this weekend which makes me sad. It's a super UTA which means he'll be out at the base for 4 full days, BUT he has a job interview in the morning which is Superb! I'm really hoping he gets that and can keep the AF just to reservist weekends for now, we would be set for a while. But if not, he starts work at seasoning training on Tuesday, which is also superb because either way it's back to work for him! (Although I will miss coming home to a cleaned house everyday!)

4) Hmm..  this is a fun word this week, check out these Gorgeous invitations that my friend Jen from Gaboodles, Ink made for my bridal shower next weekend! Go check out her awesome site, you'll find something you have to have!

Besides my fun invitations, the weather here has been Gorgeous!!! (Well, minus this morning, but it cleared up!) It's beach time again!

5) My sweet man bought me roses yesterday just because he knew I was stressed out and having a long week. Talk about feeling Loved!! That boy sure does know how to make me smile!! And only 51 days til he's mine all mine forever!!

Since it's not quite Thursday yet, I hope you all have a wonderful one! If you find yourself having a not so wonderful one just remember that tomorrow is Friday! Woo! :)

Hey ladies...

Just thought I'd take a minute to share one of my new favorite discoveries!! :) This will come in especially handy to all my brides to be out there, but there's so much more to the site too. Any girls have friends getting married? Need bridal shower or bachelorette party invitations? Or how about super cute invitations for your child's birthday party or a baby shower? Then you'll definitley want to check out my good friend at Gaboodles, Ink! Don't need invitations soon? How about a unique gift idea for that friend who has everything? Gaboodles has that too! I know this comes in especially handy for my local friends, but I'm sure Jen would be willing to work out a deal for shipping for any of you out of town ladies!

I've known the owner of this company since I was born. Our moms have been best friends since high school. She recently created this awesome company that I absolutely LOVE! My favorite part is the name, she named the company after her adorable 3-year-old daughter, Gabby! How cute is that?!?! Check out these pictures of the invitations she did for my wedding shower next weekend:

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!! Want your own? Head on over to Gaboodles, Ink and check out all the awesome pictures and ideas for yourself! Something for everyone I promise!

Definitley a Monday and some handwriting fun! :)

Ohhh, it's a Monday around our house today! Even baby boy is tired!
He can't even hold his little head up! I, on the other hand, have been very productive! I am finally DONE with my last two PR projects, EVER! I just have to present them on Wednesday and Thursday, then it's smooth sailing! You do not know how relieved I feel! I guess that would explain the extra energy today, got in an hour laying out by the pool, GREAT workout at the gym, and went to my classes. Now for some blogging while I cook dinner, then I'll FINALLY finish our wedding registries that I have been battling with for over a month now! It's about time too since there's only 53 days until our wedding, and about 2 weeks til my bridal shower! Eeeeek! I'm getting ridiculously excited! This weekend is Stephen's UTA weekend at the base, and it's a super UTA so he'll be gone from Thursday night to Monday night, so mom and I plan on getting some of the last minute details crossed off our list, since I don't have to work. I can't believe how fast this last little bit is going!(I know you're probably all tired of hearing about it by now! I'm sorry!)

That's really all that's been going on around here. We went out this weekend, Friday night went to watch our Noles play, but they got knocked out of the Elite 8 :( We did however, discover this awesome sports bar right down the road! $5 margarita pitchers on Friday nights and really yummy seafood nachos! We will definitely be going back!

Saturday we had a fundraising event to go to for my old elementary/middle school. It's always fun! This year's theme was a night at the oscar's so everyone was all dressed up. Stephen even wore a jacket and I borrowed my friend's old prom dress. It was nice to play dress up, I hate that we didn't get any cute pictures though so I can't even show you! One of my best friends from when I went to that school was there with her boyfriend and afterwards we all went out, we had such a good time! Sunday required a recovery day and then a family dinner at my parents house.

Alas, we're back to Monday just 4 more school weeks I need to knock out, one project at a time! I actually applied for 12, yes 12! jobs this morning, hopefully I'll have something full time by graduation, but we'll see!

Since, I'm a little boring today, I was VERY excited when I got on the blog today to find that sweet Alana, over at miss alana's miscellany tagged me in a fun game for today. Handwriting fun!  I enjoyed it so hopefully you ladies will enjoy it too. If you get tagged, you fill yours out, and then tag 3 of your favorite bloggers to play along too. Thursday already?!?!

Ahhh alas, It's Thursday! You know what that means! One of my favorite weekly linkups! The Thursday 5
Grab My Button
If you want to link up too, head on over to one of my personal favorite blogs and check her out! This week's words are:
Outstanding
Proud
Energized
Splendid
Wonderful

1) Our premartial counseling on Tuesday night, was Outstanding! We had a wonderful talk with our Pastor, and left feeling more confident about our upcoming marriage. We were already sure we were ready, but he had us take one of those compatibility surveys, and to no surprise we killed it! :) (Not that we needed a survey to tell us that!)

2) This is one of my favorite words.. I'm SO Proud of my wonderful fiance! He worked so hard through BMT/ tech school! I don't think he'll ever truly understand exactly how PROUD I am of him for going through all that! He is amazing! He's working hard now to make our lives better. Between jobs, plans, and being so helpful, he is amazing! Even though he hasn't been able to start work yet, he cleans the house everyday and helps with any errands I ask him to do to make my life easier while i'm in the middle of all this juggling! I love him more than words could ever say..as corny as it is, he makes my heart feel full. I'm the happiest when I'm just hanging out with him and our puppy dog, Natty!
On a side note, there are two other people I'm very PROUD of too! My awesome baby sister, for being so brave! I think it's awesome that she had the courage to go away to school and she's really doing so well! I'm also very very proud of my sweet cousin! She is such a good mom and I know she's had to grow up faster than everyone else, but she's done it well. It's not always easy but she doesn't give up! I love both of you girls SO much!

3) I have two *MAJOR* projects both due next week which stresses me out immensely. Normally, I put these things off to the last minute, but to my surprise I'm welllll ahead of the curve! I'm almost done with not one, but both of the projects! Thinking about being finished early and not stressing the night before has left me feeling very Energized! Maybe I will survive the last little bit of college!

4) Speaking of college, I'm in my last month! This news is simply splendid!! Now to find a full time job so all this time in school will finally pay off. It will be so nice not to be juggling so many schedules! I'm not sure what I'll do! (I'm sure I'll think of something! ;))

5) I'm so excited! Some of my mom's wonderful friends from high school are throwing me a bridal shower! 2 weeks from now the wedding festivities really get started! I knew it was getting closer, but now it all seems even more real! I'm just so blessed with all the wonderful people in my life! We wouldn't be where without them! i'm so grateful for mom's amazingly thoughtful friends throwing my shower!! :D

Hope everyone has a fantastic Thursday! Just remember.. we're one day closer to the weekend!

Top 2 Tuesday!

One of my favorite posts of the week! Top 2 Tuesdays! If you're interested and wanna link up, check out this adorable blog for the weekly post! This week it's your top 2 dream rooms.. since we currently live in a one bedroom apartment and aren't even in thinking about buying a house right now I decided to let my imagination run a little wild.. a girl can dream right?!
So here they are...
My current living room is pretty small.. only about enough room for 6 people comfortably.. I love to entertain so I would love to have the room to fit both of our extended families! Besides that, how could you beat that view?!
And room two is..
This isn't such a stretch.. our future first born in 3-4 years(a BOY of course) will have a little sports themed nursery, and because it will be our child of course he will have a little Seminole themed nursery! :)

Happy Tuesday y'all! :)

Wikileaks..

In one of my classes this semester I'm doing an issue tracking project. I had to pick a polarizing topic and research it through the last 12 months. Since I'm new to Air Force life, all things military hold my interest. I chose to do my project on the effects of wikileaks on the U.S. military. I started digging into my research tonight. I only knew the surface issue of this topic, until I started reading. I'm still confused.

Why would anyone want to release these documents? Just for the notarity? Don't they think about other people's security? What about our country? Where is the loyalty? What really got me upset was the soldier who helped to leak information... where was his loyalty to his brothers?

I'm just getting into this topic so I'm sure there will be more posts about this to come as I learn more. What do you all think? Especially from a military spouse stand point?

Oh Monday...

We meet again too soon! Yet another Monday has come and gone. This one held quite a bit of meaning.. no more spring break(BOOOO!), 5 weeks until I'm done with my bachelor's degree(YAYYY!), and 60 days until our wedding!!! I can't believe it's already March 21st!

Didn't we just celebrate Christmas?! I'm pretty sure it was just New Years Eve.. how are we already a quarter of the way through 2011?! I think time speeds up as you get older. I remember being in elementary school and the time between summer vacations(You know, when we actually had to go to school!) seemed to drag on and on. It was an eternity from the first day back to school until Christmas. After spring break it felt like we were back in school forever until finally it was summer break. I remember my mom saying, "where does the time go?" or "this year just flew by!" But not to me, back then it seemed like ages. Now, I know what she meant! You blink and the whole year has gone by! How do you get time to slow down?

And speaking of time.. have you ever noticed how different time can feel? 5 more minutes of sleep, flies by! 5 minutes laying out by the pool, disappears. 5 extra minutes on the tread mill, drags onnnnnnnnnnnn. 5 minutes left in class, time seems to have stopped. Why is that? Why does a work/school week seem never ending, but a week of vacation just disappears? Why does it seem like when your significant other is away(deployment, training, etc..) time is on pause, but when he visits, you visit him, or he's home time is in hyperspeed?!  How do we fix this?

20 March, 2011

Just a LITTLE overwhelming...

Ok, let's face it, there is no way I'm going to be able to keep up with any of these 30 day challenges these days! I would love to, and I thought the Spring Forward challenge was great, but my life is just a little TOO hectic! Speaking of, I did a terrible job posting last week. I was on Spring break and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Got in some time in the warm sun and I can see my tan skin again! Spent some quality time with my future husband which I ALWAYS enjoy! Also got to see a lot of our friends that doesn't happen too often and even went out a few times which is even more rare for us!

But alas, the real world is calling my name again! Stephen has been having issues with all of his inprocessing stuff. He didn't look for a job right away when getting back because the plan was to do seasoning training for the 6 months and then hopefully get on full time, which looks like a good shot. If not, then he would look for a job in the last month of his training. Well, here we are  a month into him being home, and *surprise, surprise* he's still jumping through hoops to get started. Typical government ineffeciency. You have a willing and able body ready to work and somebody is dragging their feet. I'm sorry, I love the Air Force, I love the military, and I love our country. But I don't love how some people are too lazy to do their job. It also doesn't help that we just bought a car for Stephen, and paying the bills is starting to stress me out with this delay in starting to work!

Spring break is over and I'm back to school tomorrow. :( NOT excited about that one! But the exciting thing is that means only 5, yes just 5, weeks until graduation! Hello bachelor's degree with my name on it! But of course these last 5 weeks are when all my major projects, papers, and tests come up. They seem to be spacing themselves out pretty good, but I'm not much into school work these days so i'm desperately trying to find the motivation to get it all done. Senioritis has set in to the fullest extent and it is proving detremental to me productivity!

On a bright note, tomorrow marks 60 days til our wedding!! Just 2 months until we tie the knot! We did get the tuxes picked out, now I just need to stay on top of the guys to go get fitted(all you ladies know how that goes!), my dress is in, just need to get a few minor alterations done. Still waiting on the bridesmaid dresses which is stressing me out! I also need to pick out shoes to go with the dresses which is another thing i'm not so good. It's all these last minute minor details that get me. I'm great at the big picture, but without my mom to remind me of all these little last minute things I would be SO lost! Good thing she's keeping me on track! It's time to start pulling all of our planning together because it's wedding crunch time!

I know this post was all over the board, but that pretty much sums up my life right now! I can't wait til school is over so I can focus on work and wedding stuff. I'm getting so excited! So many big changes coming up in our lives! Can't wait to see what happens next...

Thursday 5

Yay! Thursday! Which, yes, today means it's St. Patrick's Day.(Happy green beer day to all!) But it's also one of my favorite link up days! Go Join Flip Flops and Combat Boots for the Thursday 5! :)

1) Today I am very Upbeat about the bike ride we got to take last night! The weather here has been gorgeous! I managed to convince Stephen to join me for about a 3 mile ride, to you fitness buffs that's nothing, but to us it was a bit of a workout!

2) We went to the beach today and the weather and the company was pretty Fantastic! I love living in paradise and wish this weather would stay all year round!

3) I'm feeling pretty accomplished for finally finishing our wedding registries last night! I also managed to narrow down the songs for our soloist to sing, and looked at bridesmaids shoes. I'll be feeling even more accomplished when I get around to all the homework projects I had intended to finish this week while I was on spring break!!

 4) My very  thoughtful  man took out the trash yesterday without me asking! He also took our doggy to the bluffs for some exercise.. I think it wore them both out!

 5) Watching The Blind Side with my love, and I just adore Sandra Bullock! She's a brilliant  actress!

I know that it's been a while since I posted a real blog with some insightful thoughts, but i'm on my way out to enjoy this weather with my pup on a walk and then i'm hitting the gym! Dinner tonight with my whole family, so when I get back it will be blogging time! Until then... Happy Thursday!!

Had to join in..

                                                    challenge button

Well I've seen this on several of my favorite blogs, so I thought I'd give it a shot! Maybe I can keep up with this one better than I did with the one I tried on facebook! haha

Day 1 – A picture of you and something you like about like about yourself

This picture isn't that recent.. I took it while Stephen was in BMT last summer to send to him of me and Natty. But I like my ability to stay calm. I don't stress out easily. At least on the outside, in my head my brain is ALWAYS running a million miles a minute of things I need to do, but I keep it together on the outside, it takes a whole lot to get me flustered.

This was fun... can't wait for day 2! :)

15 March, 2011

Running a little late today... but......

This one is one of my favorites.. Check out her adorable blog to link up! Today the topic is 2 random facts about me:

1) I HATE paper! - I know this sounds odd, but I really do hate paper. I know it's a necessary evil that I have had to learn to live with, but the thing that bugs me the most is the way paper feels. I hate to read the paper, or have paper in my lap, weird I know!

2) I just learned this today making faces at Stephen at the car dealership, but when I roll my eyes apparently I have the ability to roll one eye and not the other. Of course I'll never be able to see it for myself, but Stephen thought it was the coolest talent. LOL!

Happy Tuesday y'all!!

CALLING ALL MIL SPOUSES...

Let's Talk!
I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and have been trying to decide the best way to go about this. I'm going to try this for now and see how it works. Let's face it, marrying(even dating) military isn't just a job. It's a lifestyle whether we want to admit it or not. For better or worse when we say "I do" we're saying "I do" to the military too.

I'm a public relations major at the University of West Florida, and I'll graduate this year. The scary thought is now I have to find a "real" job. Ideally, my dream would be to work on a military base doing PR for the MWR. It's a job that's close to my heart. Being an AF soon-to-be spouse, I know how important the family support on the base is to everyone. I want to be able to make a difference for other military families. So I want to know, what's missing?

Copy the questions and feel free to answer these questions however you want. Add anything else you can think of too, then link back up to this post and we'll all compare notes! :) I'm just curious to see what the rest of your experiences have been like...

1) What was your favorite base so far?
2) What did it have that others didn't?
3) Where are you currently stationed?
4) What are some of your favorite things about your current base?
5) What is lacking from your base?
6) Being away from your family is hard, what makes it easier on you?

If this goes well, I might try to ask a few questions of all you MIL spouses once a week. I can't wait to read everyone's responses! :)

Thursday Five

Grab My Button

My Thursday will be a little crazy tomorrow with classes, internship, and actually working tomorrow night. Thanks to the wonderful Nicole at Flip Flops and Combat Boots, I got a jump start on my Thrusday post! Head over to her great blog and read/link up!
Peaceful
Loved
Awesome
Lucky
Smart
1) Yesterday was wonderful! I babysat for a friend, got my baby time in, and enjoyed a Peaceful quiet day around the house with my wonderful fiance!

2) I feel loved all day, everyday. My fiance and family are the best! Whether it's my sweet man taking the dog out so I can have a few more minutes to get ready, telling my I'm "beautiful", or just doing something he finds completely boring just because he knows I want his company. My mom calling to check on me, my dad inviting us for dinner, or friends just texting to say they "miss me" all made my week feel extra lovely!

3) This week we picked out Stephen's wedding bands which I think is completely Awesome!!! Also, thanks to my wonderful mom and sweet cousin, Mandy, all our wedding invitations are addressed and ready to be sent out!! Only 72 more days!! :)

4) I'm so Lucky to be almost done with school! Today is the last day of class and then I'm on Spring Break! After Spring Break just 5 more weeks til exams and 6 until graduation! Time to concentrate, get focused, and get ready to enter the real world!! Bring it on...

5) Next time that it rains all day and I go to take Natty out for the last time at night, I will be smart and wear tennis shoes instead of flip flops and pay closer attention so I don't end up sliding 5 feet in the mud and needing another shower!! Love my sweet boy, but he is too strong for me sometimes!

Have a wonderful Thursday everyone, and remember TGIF tomorrow!! :)

Our Perfect Engagement

I had posted this story before on a previous blog, that I never kept up with. For those of you who haven't heard our story I thought I would post it here too. This was almost a whole year ago! Now we're just a short 72 days from our wedding! :) I love hearing engagement stories, so any of you other bloggers that want to share your story feel free to comment with it!

Our Night

It was April 29th, 2010. Just an ordinary Thursday, or so I thought! I had to work until close, and Stephen wanted to "have dinner with his family in Pace" so he borrowed my car since his motorcycle died.

I was working with his sister, Brittany that night and finally our shift ended. I thought I was waiting for Stephen to come pick me up but to my surprise Brittany handed me my car keys and a note. I was confused of course and asked her what was going on. She said she couldn't say anything else and left in a hurry. So I opened my note.

"Sorry I didn't come pick you up, but I was planning this surprise. Look in the car for your next clue."

So I got in the car and on my drivers seat there was the next note.

"Drive out to your favorite place in the world(hint hint: the beach!) The next clue is in the glovebox, but DON'T open it until you get to the toll bridge."

It was killing me but I didn't open it and I just drove. After what seemed to take years I got to the bridge and opened my next clue.

"Go to the hotel we stayed at last time and go inside. Your next clue will be at the front desk"

So I kept driving out to the springhill suites on the beach. By the time I got there and parked I was getting really nervous and had all kinds of crazy butterflies in my stomach! I felt awkward but I asked the guy at the front desk if I maybe had a "clue" there. He tried very hard not to smile as he asked my name and handed over the next clue and a room key. He told me I would be in room 315 and to have a good night. So I headed for the elevator and opened my note.

"You're almost finished! Come into the room and go out to the balcony."

By this point i'm freaking out because I have a pretty good idea of what's coming next! I finally make it upstairs and find the room just as i'm about to open the door I stop because I hear lots of talking inside so I stop to listen. I can tell there are other people in the room. Then I get confused and disappointed thinking I got my hopes up for nothing!

I walked in and found Stephen with our friends Josh, Stephanie, Bryan, and Andersen. He came and gave me a hug and said he thought a room on the beach would be a nice surprise to celebrate finals being over. ( I was surprised all right!) So I changed out of my work clothes and hung out with everyone as we tried to decide what to do. I should have been clued in that something else was up when I asked about going to the boardwalk for drinks or down to the pool to swim and everyone else voted to go walk on the beach. So we all headed for the beach. It was a perfect night the sky was clear and the moon was HUGE, it was gorgeous out there! We all walked and talked for a bit then Stephen took me aside and asked if I wanted to walk down to the water. I told him he better not push me in! So we walked down to the water and away from everyone else. I turned around and he was on his knee pulling the ring out of his pocket as he was telling me how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me! I was SHOCKED!! I said yes of course and we went to join the rest of the group. (I still wanna know how everyone kept such a big secret?!) We all stood on the beach and talked a little longer and even saw a shooting star! It was a perfect night! :) I couldn't have planned it better myself

What I'm Loving Wednesdays..

Found this linked up blog post, and couldn't resist! I LOVE this concept from This Kind of Love. Go over and check it out and link up your WILW! :)

Today i'm loving lots of things...
The Rain
I hate being stuck inside but I love that classes are cancelled so I get to just hang out with my love all day. Definitley needed this day to just lounge!
Stephen suited up in his AF issued rain gear to go out and pick up lunch.(I need to go to the grocery store, but there's NO way i'm going in this weather!)

Our apartment complex flooded!! I sort of feel like we're living on a house boat.. surrounded by water on all sides! I'm loving it, but poor Natty dog is hating it!

But he's ok because his sweet daddy brought him a treat!

yup his own cheeseburger!!
What else am I loving today....
Wedding band!
We picked Stephen's wedding band. We haven't ordered it yet, and we may not buy this exact one because i'm not 100% sold on Kay Jewelers, but we want one of this different looking black and silver ones... LOVE IT!
/images/products/2516/251659405_MV_TB.jpg

New Tv Show!
Watched the new Lifetime Show: Coming Home... LOVING it! Cried of course, but totally worth it, I love this show!

Trivia night!

Mellow Mushroom Pensacola

One of our favorite games.. our local Mellow Mushroom does trivia night on Wednesday so we love to get a group of friends and go up there. Good pizza, cold beer, and fun trivia with friends! Can't wait til tonight!

Mardi Gras...
I know, I know, it's over now! I actually missed all the parades because the weather here was so terrible, but i'm loving these cans by Bud Light for the season!

Lent
And now, the lenten season begins.. I've never actually given up something and stuck with it for the full 40 days. I really want to this year, but I want to pick something good. Something that will actually be hard for me to do. I'm thinking maybe chocolate? But i'm not sure yet. I will be sure to let you all know when I do decide so maybe i'll be more likely to stick with it!

08 March, 2011

Wedding bells are getting louder!

As my countdown clock on my blog likes to remind me, we're 73 days away! WOW.. that sounds SO soon! Just over 2 months away.. 2 MONTHS!! It seems like we were just at 6 months! Where is time going!?

Seriously, thank God for my wonderful mother! I would be so lost without her. She's pretty much keeping my butt in gear on our to do list. I've been having these weird headache episodes lately. I had them 4 days in a row last week. We had decided while Stephen was gone to do his inprocesssing at Eglin, we would get all the wedding invitations addressed so they'll be ready to go out by the end of the month. We tried working on them Friday night. My mom, me, and my very sweet cousin, Mandy sat down with the intention of getting them all knocked out. 15 minutes and 5 invitations later, my eyesight blurred and my hand went numb as another one of my episodes came on.. I spent the rest of the evening on the couch with my eyes closed, while they continued to write. The finished over half of them!! The next day I had to go to work and while I was working, my sweet mama finished them all for me! I am TRUELY blessed with the amazing people in my life!

When I got off, we went to run some wedding errands, my mom is hand beading my veil so we went by the bridal store to see it compared to my dress.. wouldn't you know my dress had come in!! I was so excited! I got to put the dress on again, but this time it was MY dress, the actual dress i'll wear down the aisle!

This Sunday, we're having engagement pictures taken! =) One of the sweet wives from one of the Eglin Facebook pages, is just starting a photography business, she offered to take our pictures for free so she could practice with engagement shoots. Of course I said yes! I'm so excited! Her pictures are always pretty so i'm excited for her to take ours! I'll post some on here when we're done :)

I feel like there's so many other things left to do, but until then I'll just keep asking my mom what I need to be doing and when... 73 days! YIKES!!

Top 2 Tuesdays

I found this link up on a couple other blogs I love to read, and the more I thought about it, the more I had to write this one! Today on this wonderful blog we were supposed to link up with the top 2 things we had learned about relationships. Oh boy... as most of you probably could, I feel as if I could write a book on what i've learned in just a few short years! But i'll go with the top 2.

1) Patience- Not just in romantic relationships, but in all relationships patience is key. It's hard as human beings we always want things our way and instantly. Being with Stephen has taught me an immense about of patience. When I come home and his clothes are everywhere and his dirty dishes are scattered around the apartment, I just take a deep breath and remember I'd rather my apartment be messy and have him home, then to have it perfectly neat and him on the other side of the country from me! That patience makes it all worthwhile when I come home from a crazy work day like today and find that he's cleaned the apartment!

2) Be with the one you can't live without- It's easy to settle. It's easy to get comfortable in a relationship and think that yeah, you can live the rest of your life with this person. But what's most important is at the end of the day knowing you COULDN'T live your life withOUT this person! That's when you know you've found your keeper, your other half, and your best friend!

Just 2 of the many things i've learned so far on this crazy road we're on! :)

Tomorrow..

One of my least favorite words. That, and wait. Or later. (Have you figured out i'm not a very patient person?!?!) I thought hurrying up to wait with the Air Force would slowly break me of that, but so far not so good. It's only seeming to aggravate me more!

Stephen left yesterday afternoon to do his inprocessing at Eglin this weekend. Boo! It's Mardi Gras here and he's there doing "death by power point" as he calls it. The weather has been really nasty this weekend anyway so he's not missing much, actually I haven't gone to any of the parades. The real reason i'm writing this post is to bitch about not knowing things. I'm a planner. I don't do change/spur of the moment very well. I'm a thinker, I have to weigh things out and think about options.

We're in an inbetween place these days, and I HATE it! Lately i'm asked, "What are you guys going to do after the wedding?" "What's your plan for after graduation?" "What's Stephen going to do now?" Well people, I simply do not know. Yup, that's right I don't have one single clue. I can speculate all I want, but in all reality Natty could probably give you a better answer that I can!

So far we absolutely love the air force! Stephen's plan was to put in at least his 20 years so he could retire USAF. Me? I love to travel, I would pack up the apartment tonight if they said they wanted us to PCS somewhere new. Well at the time he enlisted, Stephen's recruiter convinced him reserves is the way to go. So now after 9 long months of training, we're just kinda stuck. There's option called Seasoning Training, where it's basically 6 more months of hands on training for Stephen with his reserve squadron. He would go 5 days a week, 40 hours and it would be active duty, but it's only for 6 months. Then it would be back to the "what's next" question unless by then we can figure out how to make the switch into active.... Seasoning Training details are still up in the air until "tomorrow". My least favorite word! Stephen text me after he was done for the day today, and when I asked him about the training he said he wouldn't know until tomorrow. I told him how much I hate tomorrow. He always laughs at me and just says, "I know, baby." Because after three and a half years he's fully aware of how impatient I am!

Now me on the other hand.. another nerve racking thought. I've been in school continuosly for the last 18 years. I knew every year from August to May I would be taking classes. Not anymore, as of April 30, 2011 I'll be a college graduate. Which means time to break into the real world! This thought terrifies me. I don't even know where to start. Where do I want to look for jobs? What kind of job do you even really want? So I really NEED a job?? Where will we live? Should we move to Ft. Walton for the next 6 months since Stephen will be working there and I can probably get a job there? Since it is only 6 months should he commute and we just stay here?

Well, I have no more answers now than I did when I started this blog. Here's hoping that I will have more answers tomorrow...

" I can't think about that right now. If I do, I'll go crazy. I'll think about that tomorrow."---?(Anyone know who said that famous quote?? It's one of my all time favorite's!)

Show me your...

RINGS!!
Mrs. Yellow Ribbon has a great link up today to show/tell your engagement and ring story. I thought this was cute so I wanted to try link up for the first time! :)

Did you look at rings together?
Well we had before. I had the wedding itch for a good year and would drag Stephen in and out of jewelry stores anytime we passed them, "just to show him what I liked". He went a long like a good sport, but ultimately he surprised me by picking out the prettiest ring ever AND I had absolutely NO idea! :)

Do you like your ring? Did you from the beginning?...and be honest!
YES! I was shocked/surprised/blown away by it because it was nothing like the ones I had thought I wanted, but I loved it from the moment I saw it.
How often do you wear your rings?
All day, every day. I never take it off! I even sleep and shower with it. It fits perfectly so i'm not worried about losing it. I can't wait until May.. 78 days til we get married then i'll add a wedding band! :)
Do you clean your rings?
Ya pretty often. Since I wear mine so much it gets worn looking pretty fast. It came up with a couple different cleaners from the jewelry store that I use to keep it sparkly.

What went through your mind the very first time you saw your ring?
"OMG, OMG, he's serious! How did he pick THIS one?! It's so different, but SO pretty!!"

Westboro baptist "church"

Yes, I took government classes both in high school and college. Yes, I fully understand the amendments and our rights as Americans. But as a person with at least half a brain I know there are exceptions to these "rights", like you can't yell "fire" in a crowded movie theatre. How is it ok to use a funeral as a political protest? It makes me ill. The signs these people hold up signs that read things like "God hates fags" and "Thank God for dead soldiers". I've gone to church my whole life and i'm proud to be a Christian but I definitley missed whatever message these people have heard. Where do they even find enough whack jobs to have a whole church based on this disgusting messages?? I'm generally an easy going and calm person, but don't push my buttons! I've never been in a fight, but these people make my blood boil! I can honestly say if I had to actually see them, I might get in my first fight! How can you expect cops to stand there and protect these sick freaks?!

Ok.. I'm getting worked up.. The point of this blog was to share this video we found. Stephen was watching Youtube videos trying to learn more about this whole crazy case. I came in to see what he was watching, when I was walking away with disgust over these videos, he showed me this one. It took me back because he said, "Baby, watch this one. If I die I want this group at my funeral." My attention was caught. God forbid that ever happen! But, I agree with him, I want to join this group. Anyone who knows me, knows I am not a fan of Stephen's motorcycle, but I almost want him to keep it just so we can ride with these people and help protect the families just trying to mourn at their loved one's funeral. Watching this makes me proud to be American again! I will always stand behind our troops.. and if you don't, feel free to stand in front of them! :)

Tuesdays..

It was definitley a Tuesday today! Which sounds weird, I know. Usually people dread mondays, but my Monday went swimmingly. It was military pay day! Yay, right? Not in our house! Finance messed up this check which many of you military families are familiar with. From what I hear is a common, albeit rather annoying occurence. Not a great way to start the day!

I was already about high strung today, when I sat through a lecture about professional interviews. This thought absolutely terrifies me! I feel so unprepared for the "real world"! I'm learning so much in my classes and at my internship, and i'm excited for it all. It just scares me to try to go out and find a job, and then when I do find one, where will I start with actually working?! I'm just getting the hang of my internship after 2 months, and i'm still struggling to get my organization's social media off the ground! Whew.. I'm so thankful for a supportive man and family that helps me through it all!

On a brighter note, we had dinner with my family tonight and it was wonderful! Exactly the stress relief I needed, and that's not just the margaritas talking! I'm a firm believer that laughter is truly the best medicine! That and exercise.. which I will be up and at bright and early again tomorrow! Pilates was intense today so round 2 of my personalized workout should help me push through the soreness.. here's hoping!

Can't sleep..

So, I can't sleep tonight. I've been taking QuickTrim (you know, the Kardashian diet enhancing pills), and they keep me awake! I only take one when I first wake up and it lasts til about 2 am! The recommended dosage is 4 per day! YIKES! I would never sleep again! I just started a new workout plan to go with out so we'll see how that goes. I'm doing my work out myself in the gym Mon, Wed, Fri and doing my pilates class Tues and Thurs. Whenever I have time I'll do something outside on Sat and Sun like bike riding or walking. I'm just trying to eat healthier too, but the trick is getting S on board! He hates all things health food so I have to sneak it in! Ha!

Since I can't sleep, i've been working on homework. Our assignment is to take the big 5 personality test and write a one page paper about the test and our results. Here were my results: I'm a O70-C86-E12-A93-N18 Big Five!! They were pretty much spot on for me! Try it and see how accurate your results are!

Tomorrow is Tuesday, which means internship day! I love my internship at the Fiesta office, but it's definitley been a little challenging! We're trying to get the organization more involved in social media and i'm having a hard time getting it to take off with facebook fans and twitter followers. We've been running contests but I know we need more things to get some interaction so I'm still brainstorming and open to any and all suggestions of whatever keeps you interested in Facebook fan pages!

Sunday, my poor Natty dog pulled a muscle and was all mopey. I swear he's like my baby! I was so worried but luckily he seems to be all better now! Look how sad he looked!:

Today, I got in a great workout this morning, S found out his inprocessing dates which is VERY exciting! (Can't wait to update everyone with what we found out about job details!) We had lunch with my future mother in law, I had class all day(including a midterm which I feel really good about!), then had dinner with 2 of my best friends, Whitney and Lisa, I love girl time, especially since it's so hard to get all of us together! After dinner Whitney and baby Annisten came and played at the house! I can't believe how big she's getting!! She was rolling over and had us all laughing! Look how tiny she was at just 1 month!:

Now that baby girl is already 4 months, 15 pounds, rolling over and laughing up a storm! I just love her! So much fun to see them! Finally, I even had time to watch the Princess and the Frog with my love before bed! It actually turned out to be such a cute movie! Add it to your Disney collection if you haven't already! Here's hoping the rest of this week is just as good...
