CALLING ALL MIL SPOUSES...

Let's Talk!
I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and have been trying to decide the best way to go about this. I'm going to try this for now and see how it works. Let's face it, marrying(even dating) military isn't just a job. It's a lifestyle whether we want to admit it or not. For better or worse when we say "I do" we're saying "I do" to the military too.

I'm a public relations major at the University of West Florida, and I'll graduate this year. The scary thought is now I have to find a "real" job. Ideally, my dream would be to work on a military base doing PR for the MWR. It's a job that's close to my heart. Being an AF soon-to-be spouse, I know how important the family support on the base is to everyone. I want to be able to make a difference for other military families. So I want to know, what's missing?

Copy the questions and feel free to answer these questions however you want. Add anything else you can think of too, then link back up to this post and we'll all compare notes! :) I'm just curious to see what the rest of your experiences have been like...

1) What was your favorite base so far?
2) What did it have that others didn't?
3) Where are you currently stationed?
4) What are some of your favorite things about your current base?
5) What is lacking from your base?
6) Being away from your family is hard, what makes it easier on you?

If this goes well, I might try to ask a few questions of all you MIL spouses once a week. I can't wait to read everyone's responses! :)

  1. 1) What was your favorite base so far? Well I've been to Lackland, Vandenberg, & Nellis and I'm loving Nellis
    2) What did it have that others didn't? It's in Las Vegas so it's kind of a win.
    3) Where are you currently stationed? Nellis AFB
    4) What are some of your favorite things about your current base? The ladies that are here. There's also sand dunes by the place that I live so it's a great time with four wheelers.
    5) What is lacking from your base? - The lack of greens... as in trees and loving nature. It's all deserty out here.
    6) Being away from your family is hard, what makes it easier on you? Well his family lives in Arizona and he talks to them every few days. Mine... lives over the hill in a different city and I only see them once every few weeks.
